We consider Baja California one of the most touristic states in Mexico, but this state offers much more than just its stunning beaches.
This wonderful state is among the top 3 with the highest foreign trade participation, we can say that it is due to its border strip as well as the diversity that we can find in it.
Baja California is an important driver of foreign trade largely due to its proximity to the United States and the dynamism of its main commercial ports. Among them are Rosarito, Ensenada, El Sauzal and Isla de Cedros.
The main export cargoes are goods related to the mining industry and the energy sector, such as metals, unprocessed raw materials, petroleum and other fuel derivatives.
Despite the pandemic, Baja California has achieved annual growth in its exports, with an increase of 0.9%, being its factory (maquiladora) activity that makes it stand out and remain in third place.
